Diploma admissions in Government and Government Aided Polytechnics in Maharashtra are conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra State through CAP (Centralized Admission Process). Government Polytechnic Vikramgad acts as a Facilitation Center (FC) to help candidates during online registration, e-scrutiny, physical scrutiny and other admission related activities.

👤 ELIGIBILITY

First Year Diploma

  • Candidate should be an Indian National.
  • Passed 10th Std. / SSC examination or equivalent.
  • Minimum 35% aggregate marks are required.
  • Eligibility is as per DTE Maharashtra rules.

Direct Second Year Diploma

  • Admission process is conducted separately as per DTE rules.
  • Eligibility is generally based on HSC Science / ITI / MCVC or equivalent qualification.
  • Candidates must refer the official DTE brochure for detailed eligibility.

How to register on DTE Portal?

Visit the DTE Diploma Admission Portal, create candidate login, fill application details, upload required documents and pay the application fee online.

What is e-scrutiny and how is it done?

In e-scrutiny mode, candidate uploads documents online. The allotted FC verifies the application and documents online. Candidate need not visit FC physically unless required.

What if there is an error in my application?

If an error is found during e-scrutiny, the application is reverted to candidate login. Candidate must correct it, upload required documents and resubmit for verification.

What are CAP Rounds?

CAP Rounds are centralized seat allotment rounds conducted by DTE Maharashtra based on merit, options filled by candidates, reservation rules and seat availability.

Can I participate in Institute Level Round?

Institute Level Round is conducted only if seats remain vacant after CAP rounds. Candidate must have registration, document verification and application confirmation completed as per DTE rules.

Is physical visit required for e-scrutiny?

No. For e-scrutiny mode, physical visit to FC is not required for verification and confirmation. The status is available in candidate login.

Where can I check latest admission dates?

Latest dates should be checked only on the DTE Important Dates page and official DTE admission portal.
